The “Please LIKE Me!” Syndrome Have you experienced the “Please LIKE Me” syndrome?  How many of us have a website that very few people visit? Do you have a blog that no one reads? Have you advanced to the “I have a radio show” that your struggling to get people to listen to? And what about that Facebook fan page?

Marketing methods can be maddening unless you know some of the tricks of the trade.  Well there is a trick that can help you get instant fans in Facebook, which you can use to drive people to your other opportunities.

While attending a Women Empowering Women event in Florida and when one of the speakers got on stage, she immediately asked the audience to get out their cell phones and send a text message to number 32665.  In the subject line type the words FAN (then hit the space key) then type XXX (which is the name of her Facebook fan page).  Then hit Send. 

Now some of the audience members knew what she was talking about.  Me, and about two-thirds of the audience were looking around going... What is she doing?  Why are people doing this?  See, I’m the type of gal that likes to know the why behind what I’m being told.  Had I known what it was all about, I might have participated. 

As it turns out, this is a way to get instant fans to your Facebook fan page.  WOW, that’s a great thing to know.  That was a perfect opportunity for a “Go Giver” moment in that the speaker could have taught us that fabulous trick.  Oh well... Live and Learn!
